Unwaxed lemons 2
Caster sugar 140g
Water 500ml
Ice cubes 4

This recipe is the first in-store demonstration Kenwood ever did; it was performed by Kenneth Wood himself. In his day he would have also added a whole egg – shell and all! However, these days we choose not to add that extra crunch.

Serves: 4-6

Preparation time: 5 minutes


  1. Place the all the ingredients into the liquidiser.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture through a sieve into a serving jug.

Chef’s tip: Try adding sparkling water to add an extra fizz.

    In my mums old Kenwood book (from the 60's) it mentions adding a whole egg to this - is it no longer acceptable 'cos it tasted superb!!

    My mum would make this for us using the blender attachment on her Kenwood Chef. It was a family favourite in the summer.

    I first used this recipe in 1974 when I was given my first Kenwood Blender and, although I'm now on blender number 3, I haven't used it for at least 35 years. This lemonade is so lovely and so easy I can't imagine why I couldn't remember the recipe!

    Had my kenwood when my children were young now I'm a Gt grandmother many times .please my lemonade recipe on Fl Oz No egg . As in my original recipe book that has just gone missing due to my moving

    I've been making this lemonade since I got my first Kenwood mixer in about 1966. It's delicious in hot weather.
