Method

  1. Fit thick slicing disc (5) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Pre-heat oven - 170°C
  4. Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
  5. Add all purpose flour, unsalted butter, baking powder, salt, egg, milk, caster sugar and lemon juice to the kCook bowl
  6. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  7. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  8. Blend with filler cap fitted until light and fluffy - 1 min 30 sec, speed 12
  9. Grease and flour
  10. Transfer batter to round pan
  11. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  12. Slice apple into the round pan with direct prep attachment
  13. Place on top until 1 cm thick and press down
  14. Sprinkle with demerara sugar evenly
  15. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon
  16. Bake until skewer tests clean - 50 min, 170°C
  17. Let cool on round wire rack - approx 20 min
  18. Cut into pieces
