The current vacancy we are looking to fill is:

Job Title: Key Account Executive (KAE)

De’Longhi, Kenwood & Braun

Reports to:                  Channel Manager

Direct Reports:            None


Purpose:

  • Responsible for implementation and execution of the De’Longhi Group brands within multi-channel retail environment with a focus around core categories
  • Act as the critical link between our retailers and internal commercial/marketing functions, helping to deliver Sales and market share objectives by bringing the brands to life for our shopper


Principle Accountabilities:

  • Trade and Brand Marketing execution within the channel
  • In Store and online content, including in store experience/ online visuals
  • Customer data management and insight
  • Manage the implementation of the business plan activation
  • 60% of time based within our retailers driving execution
  • Strong relationship with retailers, merchandising, marketing and store operations teams
  • Follow brand guides and implement in line with retailer’s requirements
  • Understand the retailer shopper journey and work with the National Account Manager to deliver fully integrated plan


Main Responsibilities:

Trade and Brand Marketing execution within the channel

  • Product and brand promotions executed off fixture, secondary space, freestanding display units and on-line
  • Continuously focus on improving brand awareness and product execution to drive consumer engagement

In Store & On-Line content

  • Review and evaluate all in store and online materials to ensure its best in class and delivering improved consumer message to aid sell out performance
  • Understand the retailer’s processes and how to achieve improvement in product detail
  • Investigate and understand the growth of experiential events in driving brand and consumer engagement

Customer data management and insight

  • Understand, interpret and analyse customer sell out data, consumer insight and retailer CRM.
  • Evaluate and share the data with the National Account Manager to ensure on track with Joint business plan

Manage the implementation of the business plan activation

  • Work in collaboration with the National Account Manager to understand the key building blocks that need to be delivered with a specific retailer

60% of time based within our retailers driving execution

  • Retailer focused and spending 60% (3 days on average a week) with our retailers being the face of De’Longhi Group and ensuring we are delivering best in class
  • Working with retailers on new projects to change the current ways of working and exploiting new opportunities

Strong relationship with retailers, merchandising, marketing and store operations teams

  • Regular interaction with all of retailer’s internal function to learn and progress trade marketing activity
  • The primary contact for any trade marketing activity on existing or new product, services or promotions
  • Ability to work across traditional and digital communication platforms
  • Demonstrate best practice in the category and across SDA arena

Follow brand guides and implement in line with retailer’s requirements

  • Understand the brand guidelines and work with the retailer to see how we execute and maximise our brands in store and online

Understand the retailer shopper journey and work with the National Account Manager to deliver fully integrated plan

  • Immerse yourself in the retailer shopper journey and understand how they target, view, interpret and communicate with their target consumers
  • Take the in-depth knowledge of the retailer to build a targeted plan around the consumer and driving awareness on key product and category segments

Internal

  • Entire commercial and marketing team at multiple layers
  • Marketing – Portfolio & Trade Marketing Managers
  • Sales Order processing
  • Finance and Credit control
  • Forecasting and stock planning
  • Senior management

External

  • Customer Accounts on all levels including buying, merchandising, returns, marketing, and stock management
  • Retailer brand marketing teams, stock planners, digital and store operations teams
  • Companies or businesses where commercial links may exist eg, Nestle


Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Ability to network within multiple retailers and multiple functions
  • Influencing skills to drive execution
  • Track record of delivering detailed projects on time
  • Highly numerate, ability to turn data into information and action
  • Presentation and good interpersonal skills
  • Broad knowledge of UK retail and wholesale small domestic appliance industry
  • Excellent all-round communicator, possessing strong electronic, written and oral communication abilities, with ability to communicate at all levels
  • Current driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience brand or product marketing experience within FMCG/consumer durables or equivalent
  • Retailer experience (with focus on online execution)
  • Strong IT skills with the ability to analyse, absorb, reflect and respond to data information
  • Graduate Calibre

Additional Requirements:
