Seeded Bread Rolls

These sunflower and poppyseed rolls are simple to make and satisfying, served warm they make a great accompaniment to soups and cheeses. You can use any combination of seeds for this recipe so don't be afraid to experiment.

1 Baking tray large, 1 Kitchen bowl small, KMX751ABK, Spiral Dough Tool

Instructions

Getting started

Fit the Spiral dough tool to the machine.

Flour a baking tray.

Stage 1

Add Ingredients 1 (water, salt, dried yeast, sunflower seeds, bread flour, wholemeal flour) into the Mixer bowl.

Attach the Mixer bowl to the machine and fit the splash guard.

Mix on speed 1 for 3 minutes.

Scrape down the bowl.

Mix on speed 2 for 6 minutes.

Cover with plastic wrap.

Leave to prove for 1 hour.

Stage 2

Pre heat the oven to 220ºC.

Add Ingredients 2 (sunflower seeds, poppy seeds) into the small bowl.

Mix until combined.

Stage 3

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface.

Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into a ball.

Brush the dough balls with Ingredients 3 (water).

Dip the dough balls into the small bowl.

Place the dough balls onto the large baking tray.

Bake for 15 minutes at 220ºC.

Leave to cool on a wire rack.

Serve.
