Brown Seeded Loaf

A simple classic loaf using wholemeal brown flour and a variety of seeds. Use any combination of pumpkin, poppy, sesame, or sunflower seeds. Perfect for sandwiches, served with soup or toasted.

1 Loaf tin 17 12 7 cm (500g), KCL96.004DG, KVC65.001WH, KVL85.004SI, Spiral Dough Tool

Instructions

Fit the Spiral Dough Tool to the machine.

Add salt, yeast, bread flour, water, seeds, and wholemeal flour into the Mixer bowl.

Attach the Mixer bowl to the machine and fit the splashguard.

Mix on speed 1 for 2 minutes.

Mix on speed 2 for 8 minutes.

Cover with a tea towel.

Leave to prove for 1 hour.

Transfer the dough from the Mixer bowl to a lightly floured work surface.

Pull the edges of the dough into the centre.

Transfer the dough into the loaf tin.

Cover with a tea towel.

Leave to prove for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 220ºC.

Remove the tea towel and spray the dough with salted water.

Bake for 25 minutes at 220ºC or until the loaf sounds hollow when the bottom is tapped.

Leave to cool on a wire rack.
