Pound Cake

While the pound cakes we make today often have different proportions from the original, they are still wonderfully rich, moist, and buttery with a lovely golden brown crust. This is a really simple cake recipe, give it a try.
Ingredients
- 225g Butter
- 200g Egg
- 225g Caster Sugar
- 275g All Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 ¼ teaspoons Baking Powder
- 2 tablespoons Milk

- Cooling rack
- kCook Multi
- Kcook bowl
- Loaf pan - 8 x 4 x 2.5"
Method
- Pre-heat oven - 160°C
- Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
- Add caster sugar, butter, egg, all purpose flour, vanilla extract, baking powder and milk to the kCook bowl
- Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
- Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
- Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 12
- Grease and flour a clean loaf pan evenly until coated
- Transfer content of kCook bowl to loaf pan
- Bake until skewer tests clean - 50 min, 160°C
- Let cool onto cooling rack
- Serve
