Crunchy Gula Salad

For an authentic Spanish salad use mock baby eels called 'gulas', which are fried with pancetta and served on top of crisp lettuce, red cabbage, tomatoes. Top with croutons and a dash of oil.




  1. Fit thick slicing disc (5) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  4. Add olive oil, bacon and gulas to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  7. Cook with filler cap removed and continue - 10 min, 120°C, speed 3
  8. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  9. Slice red cabbage into a clean large glass bowl with direct prep attachment
  10. Add romaine lettuce hearts and tomato to the salad
  11. Mix
  12. Add croutons to the salad
  13. Transfer content of kCook bowl to salad
  14. Add olive oil and balsamic vinegar to a clean medium glass bowl
  15. Season
  16. Mix until combined
  17. Drizzle salad with dressing
  18. Serve medium glass bowl
