Cauliflower Pizza Crust

A low carbohydrate pizza base made with cauliflower.

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  2. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  3. Assemble the Food Processor attachment to the machine
  4. Fit the knife blade to the Food Processor bowl
  5. Add cauliflower to the Food processor attachment
  6. Attach the lid and ensure it is locked into place
  7. Pulse until fine crumbs form
  8. Transfer content of Food processor attachment to frying pan
  9. Sauté in frying pan - 8 min, medium heat
  10. Transfer the cooked cauliflower onto a clean tea towel placed on the work surface
  11. Let cool - 5 min
  12. Once cool, bring together the ends of the tea towel, tightly wrapping the cooked cauliflower
  13. Hold over a medium bowl, then squeeze as much liquid as possible out into the bowl
  14. Unwrap the tea towel and transfer the cauliflower into a large mixing bowl
  15. Add egg, garlic powder, dried basil, dried oregano, mozzarella cheese, salt and black pepper to a clean large mixing bowl
  16. Stir until combined
  17. Transfer mixture to baking tray and press down
  18. Shape the base with your hands into a desired size
  19. Bake - 15 min, 200°C
  20. Turn the base over
  21. Bake until firm - 5 min, 200°C
  22. Remove from oven
  23. Top with your chosen pizza toppings
  24. Bake - 5 min, 200°C
  25. Serve
