Baghrirs are Moroccan pancakes, recognised by the holes on the surface. These holes are perfect to soak in melted butter and honey when served. During cooking, you only need to cook one side and let them cool individually, otherwise they will stick to each other if you stack them before they have cooled. These pancakes do not require milk or eggs to make so they are a great recipe for when you have neither ingredient, they also do not require cooking in any fat or oil, so they are a healthier option.

    1. Attach Whisk
    2. Add durum semolina flour, plain flour, water, dried yeast, baking powder, granulated sugar and salt to the Kenwood Bowl
    3. Mix with splashguard fitted then scrape bowl - 1 min 30 sec, Speed 4
    4. Mix with splashguard fitted - 1 min 30 sec, Speed 4
    5. Remove the bowl from the machine
    6. Cover with kitchen towel
    7. Let rest - 30 min
    8. Pre-heat a clean frying pan
    9. Ladle some of the mixture into frying pan
    10. Cook until golden brown - 3 min, medium-high heat
    11. Transfer the pancake onto a serving plate
    12. Repeat the same with the rest of the batter
    13. Serve with butter and honey
