Ingredients
DOUGH:
- 1 vanilla pod
- 200ml milk
- 3 tsp instant yeast
- 70g golden caster sugar
- 500g bread flour
- 30g non-fat powdered milk
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 eggs (large)
- 1 egg yolk (large, reserve the white for the filling)
- 3 tbsp softened butter
FILLING:
- 100g toasted walnut pieces
- 60g light brown sugar
- 100g golden icing sugar
- 1 ½ tbsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground cardamom
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 egg white (reserved from dough ingredients)
- 3 tbsp softened butter
- Egg wash – 1 egg whisked with 1 tbsp milk
- Extra butter (for greasing the tin)
- Extra flour (for dusting)
