A simple soft nougat, perfect as a homemade present for a loved one.
Ingredients
75g Pecan Halves
75g Hazelnuts
375g Honey
110g Caster Sugar
300g Ground Almonds
225g Icing Sugar
Tools
Oven
Parchment paper
Plastic wrap
kCook Multi
Loaf pan - 9"
Kcook bowl
Baking sheet - 18 x 13"
Method
Pre-heat oven - 160°C
Line a clean baking sheet with parchment paper
Add pecan halves and hazelnuts to the baking sheet
Bake - 5 min, 160°C
Set aside and let cool
Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
Add honey to the kCook bowl
Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
Attach lid to kCook bowl
Heat with filler cap removed - 120°C, speed 3
Then add caster sugar, ground almonds and icing sugar to the kCook bowl
Transfer nuts to kCook bowl
Mix with filler cap removed - 1 min, speed 5
Line a clean loaf pan with plastic wrap
Transfer content of kCook bowl to loaf pan
Press firmly in cake tin
Let rest overnight
Turn out
Cut into squares
Serve
