Simple Soda Bread

This simple bread is great for children who are starting to take an interest in breadmaking. There is no yeast, no proving time, so no long wait.
Ingredients
- 255g Wholemeal Bread Flour
- 255g Plain Flour
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon
- 435g Buttermilk

- Oven
- Parchment paper
- kCook Multi
- Kcook bowl
- Lightly floured surface
- Baking tray - large
Method
- Pre-heat oven - 200°C
- Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
- Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
- Add wholemeal bread flour, plain flour, salt, bicarbonate of soda and buttermilk to the kCook bowl
- Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
- Attach lid to kCook bowl
- Mix with filler cap removed - 2 min, speed 7
- Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
- Cut in half
- Take one half and gently pull the edges into the centre
- Roll the dough over
- Shape into a ball
- Transfer dough to baking tray
- Use a sharp knife or blade to make slashes
- Repeat the same process with the other half of the dough
- Bake - 30 min, 200°C
- Let cool
- Serve
