This simple bread is great for children who are starting to take an interest in breadmaking. There is no yeast, no proving time, so no long wait.

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven - 200°C
  2. Line a clean baking tray with parchment paper
  3. Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
  4. Add wholemeal bread flour, plain flour, salt, bicarbonate of soda and buttermilk to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  7. Mix with filler cap removed - 2 min, speed 7
  8. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
  9. Cut in half
  10. Take one half and gently pull the edges into the centre
  11. Roll the dough over
  12. Shape into a ball
  13. Transfer dough to baking tray
  14. Use a sharp knife or blade to make slashes
  15. Repeat the same process with the other half of the dough
  16. Bake - 30 min, 200°C
  17. Let cool
  18. Serve
