From Northern Italy Paradise Cake is quick and easy to make. It is often eaten for breakfast or in the afternoon as its soft and fluffy texture is well paired with milk, tea, or coffee.

  1. Pre-heat oven - 180°C
  2. Line a clean springform pan with parchment paper then set aside
  3. Attach Whisk
  4. Add unsalted butter to the EasyWarm Bowl
  5. Heat with splashguard fitted - 6 min, 9
  6. Remove the bowl from the machine and set aside
  7. Add egg, egg yolk, lemon, icing sugar and vanilla extract to the Kenwood Bowl
  8. Mix with splashguard fitted then scrape bowl - 3 min, Speed 5
  9. Transfer content of EasyWarm Bowl to Kenwood Bowl
  10. Mix with splashguard fitted - 30 sec, Speed 5
  11. Sift italian 00 flour, baking powder, potato starch and salt into a clean large mixing bowl
  12. Stir until combined
  13. Transfer half of flour mixture to Kenwood Bowl
  14. Mix with splashguard fitted - 30 sec, Speed 4
  15. Transfer the rest of flour mixture to Kenwood Bowl
  16. Mix with splashguard fitted - 30 sec, Speed 4
  17. Transfer content of Kenwood Bowl to springform pan
  18. Spread until level
  19. Bake - 40 min, 180°C
  20. Remove and let cool - approx 10 min
  21. Turn out cake onto serving plate and let cool
  22. Dust with icing sugar
  23. Serve
