Leche frita is a delicious Spanish dessert which can be eaten hot, warm or cold. Sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon and serve with ice cream.

Method

  1. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  2. Add unsalted butter to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  5. Cook with filler cap fitted - 1 min 15 sec, 80°C
  6. Then add all purpose flour to the kCook bowl
  7. Cook with filler cap fitted - 5 min, 110°C, speed 6
  8. Then add milk, caster sugar, ground cinnamon and lemon to the kCook bowl
  9. Cook with filler cap removed - 15 min, 98°C, speed 6
  10. Transfer content of kCook bowl to square pan
  11. Freeze - approx 2 hr
  12. Transfer content of square pan to work surface
  13. Cut into squares
  14. Roll in all purpose flour, egg and all purpose flour one by one
  15. Add sunflower oil to a clean frying pan
  16. Heat in frying pan
  17. Transfer content of work surface to frying pan
  18. Fry each side in frying pan until golden brown
  19. Pat dry with paper towels
  20. Serve
