A dark and spicy ginger cake, try serving it warm with custard, or with a drizzle of syrup from a jar of stem ginger.

Method

  1. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  2. Grease a clean loaf pan then set aside
  3. Add all purpose flour, ground ginger, mixed spice, baking powder and ground cinnamon to a clean large mixing bowl
  4. Stir with tablespoon until combined then set aside
  5. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  6. Add caster sugar, butter, golden syrup, milk and egg to the kCook bowl
  7. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  8. Transfer dry ingredients to kCook bowl
  9. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  10. Mix with filler cap removed - 2 min, speed 8
  11. Transfer content of kCook bowl to loaf pan
  12. Bake - 50 min, 160°C
  13. Let cool - approx 10 min
  14. Turn out onto cooling rack
  15. Serve
