Basic Cake Mix
A foundation recipe for most cakes.
Ingredients
- 200g (7oz) butter (softened)
- 200g (7oz) caster sugar
- 200g (7oz) medium eggs
- 200g (7oz) self-raising flour (sieved)
Method
- Place the butter and sugar in the bowl and use the dual whisk on Auto to cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (approximately 2 minutes).
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Add the flour to the bowl and use the folding tool on low speed (speed 1 - 2) to mix in the flour.
- Carefully spoon the mix into cases and bake in a preheated oven for 15- 20 minutes at 180°C/350°F/Gas mark 4.
- Decorate as desired.
