Brown sauce is a condiment often favoured over ketchup by some, it has a tangy, fruity and lightly spiced flavour. Here's how to make your own homemade version of the legendary condiment, perfect in a bacon sandwich or served with a full English breakfast.

  1. Fit thick slicing disc (5) to direct prep attachment
  2. Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
  3. Fit whisk tool to kCook bowl
  4. Add canola oil to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl
  7. Heat with filler cap removed - 140°C, speed 3
  8. Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
  9. Slice onion into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
  10. Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
  11. Cook with filler cap removed - 5 min, 120°C, speed 3
  12. Then add apple, canned tomatoes, red wine vinegar, tomato paste, brown sugar, treacle, worcestershire sauce, tamarind paste, ginger, allspice, bay leaves, fresh chili and salt & pepper to the kCook bowl
  13. Cook with filler cap removed - 30 min, 98°C, speed 5
  14. Filter with sieve
  15. Season to taste
  16. Store in fridge
  17. Serve
