We’re looking for a Marketing Manager with expertise in New Product Development and Consumer Insight to drive the Kenwood brand into a new stage of business growth. This is an opportunity to put your creative stamp on a world-leading brand.
You’ll be an advocate for change as you help push the boundaries of appliance technology, making our products easier and more effective to use. You’ll have an opportunity to shape our future in line with shifting consumer habits, and to see the fruits of your labour as you plan and execute new product lines and roadmaps.
That could mean finding new ways to inspire culinary devotees, new lifestyle challenges to address or other opportunities presented by consumer behaviour.
You’ll be expert at identifying consumer and macro trends and transforming them into visionary product strategy, anticipating future needs and developing category plans. As you bring innovative products to market over the full 2 – 3 year planning cycle, you’ll have all the support and resources you’d associate with a global brand.
Your core role is to define our 5 year category plan and roadmaps in line with Kenwood growth targets to achieve category dominance. You’ll manage a small team, with matrix responsibility for cross-functional teams in the UK and Hong Kong. Your ability to drive consumer insights through to NPD will be key to this role.
You must be able to enhance, harness and deploy the strength of the team, since your mission will not be something you can accomplish alone. You’ll need to win stakeholder buy-in from diverse and geographically-spread teams, including the Senior De’Longhi Group team in Italy.

Your key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Managing and developing the product management team
- Ensuring agreed projects are prioritised for resource planning
- Leading complex projects with UK and Hong Kong teams
- Creating and developing market-specific plans
- Analysing insights, trends and technologies to define product specification
- Defining/articulating the product story, USPs and competitive advantage to global stakeholders
Aside from impeccable credentials in a similar or relevant field, you’ll have a restless, entrepreneurial spirit and will relish the opportunity to bring your challenging, global thinking to a pedigree brand. You’ll be comfortable with change and the challenges of market innovation.
You’ll need to engage diverse stakeholders throughout long product development cycles in a commercially-led environment, so you’ll be a persuasive communicator and credible presenter.
You’ll be resilient and creative, with the ability to drive NPD through a complex organisation and into international territories. As such you’ll be unfazed by shifting priorities and will seek clarity when required. And you’ll combine fresh thinking with experience of full-lifecycle product development informed by consumer insight.
You’ll have a degree or equivalent in business, marketing or similar and will be comfortable managing a marketing team. Ideally you’ll have a working knowledge of SAP and an understanding of a second (European) language. You’ll be comfortable with travel and will need a driver’s licence.
