A great way to use stale bread and turn it into a delicious treat. Bread is the most wasted in items in our homes and believe me when you make this cake you’ll never waste a slice again

Ingredients

For the ganache:

Method:

  1. Break the bread into pieces and put in a blender, blend until it becomes bread crumbs
  2. Add the sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and pulse until mixed through.
  3. Add the eggs, vanilla and milk, blend until it becomes a cake batter
  4. Add to an 8” cake tin, sprinkle over the chocolate pieces and bake at 150 degrees for 20 minutes
  5. Allow to cool completely on a rack
  6. Slowly heat your cream (but don’t let it boil)
  7. After 2 minutes, pour the cream over the chocolate and let sit for 2 minutes
  8. Slowly whisk the cream and chocolate until totally combined, allow to cool to room temperature
  9. pour the ganache over the cake until completely covered. Place in the fridge to set.
  10. Garnish with fresh berries and enjoy
