These flour tortillas are so easy to make and very versatile. You could use them for anything from lunchtime wraps, quesadillas or cut them up, season and bake them for homemade tortilla chips to accompany chilli.

Method

  1. Add water, dried yeast, Type 0 Italian flour and salt to the Kenwood Bowl
  2. Mix - 2 min, Speed 1
  3. Mix - 8 min, Speed 2
  4. Transfer content of Kenwood Bowl to lightly floured surface
  5. Cover with kitchen towel
  6. Let rest - 10 min
  7. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces
  8. Roll each piece into a ball
  9. Use a rolling pin to roll out into a thin circle
  10. Let rest - 5 min
  11. Add oil to a clean frying pan
  12. Heat in frying pan - medium heat
  13. Cook each tortilla for 1 minute on each side or until lightly brown
  14. Serve
