The perfect pie to serve for Father's Day. Serve with mashed potato and gravy.
Ingredients
800g Beef Filet
200g Onion
1 Egg
20g Cake Flour
50ml Sunflower Oil
200ml Stout
200g Button Mushroom
600ml Chicken Stock
50g Tomato Paste
300g Puff Pastry
Tools

Pastry brush
Rolling pin

Large glass bowl
Ceramic baking dish - 13 x 9 x 2"
Lightly floured surface
Kcook bowl
Method
Fit thick slicing disc (5) to direct prep attachment
Fit direct prep attachment to kCook Multi
Add beef filet and cake flour to a clean large glass bowl
Mix with tablespoon until coated then set aside
Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
Add sunflower oil to the kCook bowl
Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
Attach lid to kCook bowl
Heat with filler cap removed - 140°C, speed 3
Transfer beef to kCook bowl
Cook with filler cap removed - 2 min, 140°C, speed 4
Cook with filler cap removed - 3 min, 140°C, speed 3
Turn direct prep attachment to position 1
Slice onion into the kCook bowl with direct prep attachment
Turn direct prep attachment to position 2
Add stout, button mushroom, chicken stock and tomato paste to the kCook bowl
Cook with filler cap removed - 4 hr, 98°C, speed 1
Transfer content of kCook bowl to ceramic baking dish then set aside
Pre-heat oven - 180°C
Add puff pastry to a clean lightly floured surface
Roll out until 1/8" (5mm) thick
Brush
Transfer pastry to ceramic baking dish
Cover and press down
Brush with egg
Cut an indentation
Bake until golden brown - 10 min, 180°C
Serve
