Simple Treacle Sponge

Serve this warm pudding with custard, cream or ice cream.
Ingredients
- 1 Lemon
- 200g Butter
- 3 Eggs
- 250g Golden Syrup
- 35g Breadcrumbs
- 200g Golden Caster Sugar
- 200g Plain Flour
- 2 ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
- 5 tablespoons Milk

- Kcook bowl
- Medium bowl
- Small baking dish
Method
- Pre-heat oven - 180°C
- Add golden syrup, lemon and breadcrumbs to a clean medium bowl
- Mix until combined
- Transfer syrup to small baking dish
- Fit max blade to kCook bowl
- Add butter and golden caster sugar to the kCook bowl
- Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
- Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
- Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 5
- Then add egg to the kCook bowl
- Mix with filler cap fitted - 3 min, speed 7
- Then add plain flour, baking powder and milk to the kCook bowl
- Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 6
- Transfer batter to small baking dish
- Bake - 35 min, 180°C
- Serve
