Highly addictive, kimchi udon is a great weeknight meal – quick to prepare and deeply satisfying. Gochujang and kimchi add sharpness and funk to the noodles, bejewelled with salty spam and fragrant garlic.

  1. Add gochugaru, gochujang, rice vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic clove, sesame oil and water to a clean small bowl
  2. Stir until combined then set aside
  3. Attach the Stir Tool
  4. Add vegetable oil to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  5. Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield
  6. Cook with splashguard fitted until hot - 1 min, 120°C, Speed OFF
  7. Then add spam and spring onion to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  8. Cook with splashguard fitted until translucent - 2 min, 120°C, Stir 2
  9. Then add kimchi to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  10. Cook with splashguard fitted until combined - 2 min, 120°C, Stir 2
  11. Then add udon noodles to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl
  12. Cook with splashguard fitted until combined - 3 min, 110°C, Stir 2
  13. Then garnish with sesame seeds and dried wakame seaweed
  14. Serve
