Hot Chocolate Orange
A delicious, creamy hot chocolate drink with zesty orange
Ingredients
- 1.2L Whole milk
- 8 strips Orange zest, pared using a vegetable peeler
- 300g, 70% dark Chocolate, broken into small pieces
- 3tbsp light brown muscavado sugar
Method
- Attach the stirring tool and pour the whole milk and strips of orange zest into the bowl, place the lid on the bowl and bring the ingredients to a simmer by selecting temperature setting 2 and stir function 3 for 10 minutes.
- When the keep warm function activates, reduce the time of this to 15 minutes, and allow the orange zest and milk to infuse.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the orange zest, and add the dark chocolate and light muscavado sugar, replace the lid. Return the bowl to temperature setting 2, and stir function 3 for 10 mins.
- Once the chocolate is completely melted, sieve the drink and serve in glasses.
- For an extra treat, decorate the glass with chocolate syrup, and orange zest.
