Brioche Buchty
Originally from a province of the Czech Republic, this is a very popular brioche in Germany. Its particularity is that it contains no butter, but crème fraiche. It is, as a result, incredibly soft to eat.
Ingredients
- 1 Egg
- 30g Milk
- 10g Active Dried Yeast
- 100g Icing Sugar
- 500g All Purpose Flour
- 200g Crème Fraîche
- 2 Eggs
- ½ teaspoon Salt

- Oven
- kCook Multi
- Round pan - 20cm (8")
- Kcook bowl
- Lightly floured surface
Method
- Grease a clean round pan then set aside
- Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
- Add milk and active dried yeast to the kCook bowl
- Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
- Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
- Heat with filler cap fitted - 2 min, 30°C, speed 3
- Then add icing sugar, all purpose flour, crème fraîche, egg and salt to the kCook bowl
- Mix with filler cap fitted - 3 min, speed 7
- Remove midi blade from kCook bowl
- Heat with filler cap fitted - 1 hr, 30°C
- Transfer dough to lightly floured surface
- Divide into balls
- Roll into balls until smooth
- Arrange shaped dough in round pan
- Cover with kitchen towel
- Prove - 1 hr
- Pre-heat oven - 150°C
- Brush with egg
- Bake - 25 min, 150°C
- Let cool
- Serve
