Breadmakers

Can I make garlic bread in a bread maker?

Tests carried out using several different types of garlic mean we would not recommend making garlic bread with your bread maker.

If too much garlic was used it would result in the collapse of the bread and a dense doughy texture. Too little garlic resulted in very little noticeable flavour change without the addition of additional spices.

Granules, fresh cloves, pastes and pre-prepared garlic were all tested with very similar results.
