Cherry Clafoutis

Clafoutis is a baked dessert of cherries arranged in a buttered dish and covered with a thick flan like batter. The clafoutis is dusted with powdered sugar and served lukewarm.




  1. Place all the ingredients into the blender and blend at maximum speed for 50 seconds.
  2. Grease a 22cm ovenproof dish. Scatter the pitted cherries over the base. Pour the mixture into the dish and place in a preheated oven set at 180ºC/350ºF/Gas 4 and bake for 40 minutes until light and golden. Turn the heat off.
  3. Serve with clotted cream.


Cook's Tips: Leave the Clafoutis in the oven with the door open for 1 hour before serving.
