Your food processor is the best tool for making hummus. The ultra-sharp knife blade makes quick work of grinding down the chickpeas and garlic to achieve a smooth and creamy texture that’s ideal for dipping, while the bowl capacity allows you to make a larger quantity if needed.

Fresh hummus will last a few days if stored in the fridge in an airtight container - then it’s easy to add to lunches or main meals.

How to make hummus with your food processor:

1. Fit the knife blade to your food processor.

2. Add the tahini, chickpeas, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil and salt to the food processor bowl. Secure the lid.

3. Mix on medium speed until combined. The consistency should be smooth and silky. If it’s too thick, add some more warm/hot water or olive oil to loosen.
