Ingredients

Servings: 4
Makes:

2  olive oil


150 grams yellow onion, peeled, finely sliced
2  garlic cloves, peeled, stem removed, crushed
130 grams smoked lardons


300 grams vegetable stock, hot
400 grams tinned whole tomatoes
2 tsp. light brown sugar
5 sprigs of fresh parsley, destalked
  Salt, to taste
  black pepper, to taste


400 grams gnocchi


  fresh basil, as needed, destalked, finely chopped


  parmesan cheese, as needed, grated


Instructions

STEP 1/7

Lightly oil the Steamer basket

Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield

Fit the Stir tool to the machine

STEP 2/7

Attach the Cooking Chef bowl to the machine

Add Ingredients 1 (oil) into the Cooking Chef bowl, fit the splash guard

Cook at 120ºC on speed stir 1 for 1 minute

STEP 3/7

Add Ingredients 2 (onion, garlic, lardons) to the Cooking Chef bowl

Cook at 120ºC on speed stir 1 for 6 minutes

STEP 4/7

Add Ingredients 3 (stock, tomatoes, sugar, parsley, seasoning) to the bowl

Cook at 98ºC on speed stir 3 for 35 minutes

STEP 5/7

Remove the Stir tool

Place the steamer basket into the Cooking Chef bowl

Add Ingredients 4 (gnocchi) to the Cooking Chef bowl

Steam at 100ºC for 8 minutes

Or use the ‘steam pre-set if applicable

STEP 6/7

Transfer the gnocchi from the steamer into the Mixer bowl

Add Ingredients 5 (basil) into the Cooking Chef bowl, fit the Stir tool

Mix on speed stir 1 for 30 seconds

Season to taste

Garnish with grated parmesan
