This could happen for a couple of reasons:
- The appliance is in the heating stage and the timer will start to count down once the selected temperature has been reached.
Or
- If the temperature is set above 100°C, the water content of the food may be preventing the appliance from reaching the selected temperature to start the timer countdown. Try the following:
- Reduce the temperature to below 100°C.
