Easter Nest Cake

This cake is a bit different from a normal Easter cake but it's a tasty break from chocolate. We've used small Easter eggs to decorate our cake but you can use anything you like. For this cake you will need a 23cm/9 inch round cake ring or Savarin tin.

  1. Pre-heat oven - 160°C
  2. Grease a clean tube pan
  3. Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
  4. Add caster sugar, butter, egg, all purpose flour, vanilla extract, milk and baking powder to the kCook bowl
  5. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  6. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  7. Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 12
  8. Transfer content of kCook bowl to tube pan
  9. Bake - 50 min, 170°C
  10. Turn out
  11. Let cool on round wire rack
  12. Clean kCook bowl
  13. Fit stir tool to kCook bowl
  14. Add butter to the kCook bowl
  15. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  16. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  17. Mix with filler cap fitted - 1 min, speed 6
  18. Then add icing sugar, vanilla extract and milk to the kCook bowl
  19. Mix with filler cap fitted - 2 min, speed 5
  20. Spread
  21. Decorate with flaked coconut
  22. Serve
