How to create delicious pizzas with the MultiPro Go

The next time you fancy hosting a pizza party, don’t reach for the takeaway menu. Nothing beats the taste of homemade pizza dough, and it’s so quick and easy to make using your MultiPro Go.

Follow this simple step-by-step recipe to make and prove your pizza dough in advance. Your MultiPro Go can also help you to prepare all your favourite toppings, so the whole family can enjoy experimenting with different flavour combinations.

The recipe makes enough dough for 2 medium to large sized thin crust pizzas, or 4 smaller ones.

Using the MultiPro Go

Getting started

This recipe makes enough dough for 2 medium-large sized thin crust pizzas, or 4 smaller pizzas.

You will need 1 hour 15 minutes to make the dough, which includes 1 hour proving time. The dough takes 10-15 minutes to cook.

Here’s what you’ll need:

250g plain flour
1 tablespoon oil
4g salt
4g dried yeast
150g warm water
Toppings of your choice

Mixing the dough

Line your baking trays with parchment paper and lightly grease a medium-sized bowl.

Assemble your food processor and fit the knife blade.

Add the flour, olive oil, salt, yeast and warm water to the food processor bowl. Fit the lid and check the pusher is in the feed tube.

Mix on speed Max for 1 minute until combined. Be careful not to over-mix as this will make the dough tough and difficult to shape and stretch.

Kneading and proving

Remove the knife blade before transferring the dough to a lightly floured surface.

Knead the dough by hand for about 5 minutes, until it is smooth and springy.

Transfer the dough to a lightly floured, medium-sized bowl. Cover with a damp tea towel and leave to prove in a warm room for about an hour, or until the dough has doubled in size.

Creating your pizzas

Preheat your oven to 200ºC. Transfer your proved dough to a lightly floured surface and divide into 2 or 4 equal sized pieces, depending on how many pizzas you want to make.

To make 2 pizzas, lightly roll each piece of dough into a 22cm (9”) round disc. Don’t be too heavy-handed when you roll out the dough, as it will flatten and pop the air bubbles and you’ll end up with a very dry base. Place the dough discs on the prepared baking trays.

Top your pizza bases with your favourite toppings and bake for 10-15 minutes, until the base is golden brown and slightly crispy, and the cheese is bubbling.

When it comes to choosing pizza toppings, mix and match your favourite ingredients to create your perfect combination.

Use your MultiPro Go to make an authentic rich tomato sauce for the base in advance, and then to chop and slice the rest of your ingredients. Using the reversible slicing/grating disc with the Express Serve™ attachment means you can produce consistently sized, uniform slices in no time.

Here are a few suggestions to inspire you:
  • Cheese Mozzarella is the traditional choice because it melts well and has a mild flavour, but you can also try ricotta, cheddar, goat’s cheese, parmesan or your favourite dairy-free alternative. 
  • Meat or protein Try spicy sausage, shredded chicken, ground beef mince, bacon or tofu.
  • Seafood For an extra flavour hit, add salty anchovy fillets to your pizza, or try some garlicy prawns and chopped red chilli. 
  • Vegetables add courgettes, peppers, aubergines, mushrooms, onions or olives, or for the more adventurous, cauliflower or butternut squash also work really well.
  • Fresh greens Finish with a handful of basil leaves, spinach or rocket.
For best results, resist overloading the pizza with too many toppings as it can weigh down the base, leaving it soggy and undercooked.
