Vegetarian Dumplings

Use the Food Mincer to grind your dumping filling to save time and effort. You can fold or crimp the dumplings in your desired style.

Ingredients

Servings: 8
Makes: 1

2  garlic cloves, peeled, destemmed
5 g ginger, peeled
150 g onion, peeled, coarsely chopped
150 g carrot, trimmed, peeled
60 g leek, trimmed
200 g cabbage, cored, finely chopped
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp rice vinegar
1 Tbsp sesame oil
2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  dumpling wrappers, as needed
  water, as needed
60 g water, cold


Instructions

STEP 1/5

Attach the Food Mincer attachment and fit the Fine Screen.
Place a large bowl underneath the attachment.
Start the machine on speed 4.
Add garlic, ginger, onion, carrots and leek into the Food Mincer attachment.
Using the pusher, gently push the food down the feed tube.
Remove the attachment from the machine.

STEP 2/5

Add cabbage, soy sauce, rice vinegar and sesame oil into the large bowl.
Mix with a spoon until combined.

STEP 3/5

Add 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil into a large frying pan.
Heat over a medium heat until hot.
Add the vegetable mixture into the frying pan.
Cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes or until softened.

STEP 4/5

Place dumpling wrappers on a clean work surface.
Spoon about a teaspoon of the vegetable mix into the dumpling wrappers.
Brush the edges of each wrapper with water, fold into a semi-circle and seal.

STEP 5/5

Add 1 Tbsp of vegetable oil into a clean frying pan.
Heat over a medium heat until hot.
Place the dumplings in the pan, flat side down.
Fry over a medium heat for 3 minutes or until browned.
Add water into the frying pan.
Steam for 10 minutes or until the dumplings are soft.
