Quick Beef Pho

This Vietnamese dish is an easy main but looks impressive, you can adjust the amount of spice by using more or less chilli. Serve with lime wedges, hot sauce and chilli slices.

Ingredients

Servings: 2

1500 g hot beef stock
15 g ginger
75 g onion
1  star anise pod
1  cinnamon stick
2  cloves
2 tsp palm sugar
2.5 Tbsp fish sauce
1  chilli
200 g steak
80 g bean sprouts
15 g coriander
15 g basil
100 g rice noodles


Instructions

STEP 1/4

Peel and finely chop the ginger.
Peel the onion and thinly slice.
Destem, deseed and finely slice the chilli.
Cook the noodles.
Cut the steak into thin slices.
Destalk the herbs and finely chop.

STEP 2/4

Fit the Stir Tool to the Cookeasy+ Bowl.
Fit the Cookeasy+ Bowl to the machine.

STEP 3/4

Add stock, ginger, onion, star anise, cinnamon, cloves, palm sugar, fish sauce and chilli into the Cookeasy+ bowl.
Attach the lid and ensure the Filler cap is NOT fitted. 
Cook for 5 minutes, at 104°C on speed 3.
Cook for 15 minutes, at 94°C on speed 3.

STEP 4/4

Add steak, bean sprouts and herbs to the Cookeasy+  bowl.
Cook for 2 minutes, at 98 ºC on speed 3.
 

To Serve.
Divide noodles between your serving bowls.
Ladle the broth from the kCook bowl into the serving bowls.
