A quick delicious cake, great in the afternoon with a hot drink. We've used lemon curd and buttercream to sandwich the sponge, but you could use any jam or fresh whipped cream.
Preheat the oven to 175ºC Grease two round 15 cm cake tins Fit the Knife Blade Add flour, baking powder, caster sugar, butter and eggs into the appliance bowl Select the Mix preset Divide the batter between the cake tins Bake for 20 minutes at 175ºC Remove from the oven and let cool.
Place one sponge cake on a serving plate Spread with lemon curd and buttercream Place the other sponge cake on top.
Serve.
