Hot Honey Melon Margarita

Cool, refreshing and a little bit spicy, these summer cocktails will go down a treat at your next Summer gathering. We have decorated ours with melon, cucumber balls and fresh mint but if you want a spicier drink try chilli slices.

For the margarita

  • 600 g cantaloupe melon, peeled, deseeded, cubed

  • 200 g tequila

  • 100 g triple sec

  • 100 g lime juice

  • 60 g hot honey

To decorate

  • 1 lime wedge

  • sea salt flakes, as needed

  • dried chillies, as needed, crushed

  • balls melon, as needed

  • balls cucumber, as needed

  • fresh mint, as needed, leaves only

  • ice, as needed


Utensils

Jug, 5 Martini glasses, FDP65.860WH, FDM72.990BK, FDM73.850SS, Knife Blade, Blender Attachment

Instructions

Step 1

Add melon into the Blender attachment.

Blend for 30 seconds on speed Max until smooth.

Strain the blended melon into a jug.

Step 2

Add tequila, triple sec, lime juice and honey into the Blender attachment.

Add the blended melon.

Blend for 30 seconds on speed Max until combined.

Transfer the mixture into a serving jug.

Chill in the fridge until ready to use.

Step 3

Rub the lime wedge around the rim of the glasses.

Add salt flakes and crushed dried chilli onto separate plates.

Dip the rim of the glasses in salt, followed by chilli.

Add ice into glasses and top with hot honey melon margarita.

Decorate with melon balls, cucumber balls and mint.
