Chocolate and Peanut Butter Traybake

For the traybake

  • 350 g unsalted butter, cubed, softened

  • 350 g light brown sugar

  • 7 eggs

  • 350 g plain flour

  • 50 g cocoa powder

  • 30 g smooth peanut butter

To decorate

  • smooth peanut butter, as needed, melted

  • milk chocolate, as needed, melted

Traybake tin small, Bowl medium, KHC30.000WH, KHC30.050GY, KHC30.070GY, K-Beater

Instructions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180ºC.

Grease a traybake tin and line with parchment paper.

Fit the K-Beater.

Add butter and sugar into the appliance bowl.

Mix for about 2 minutes on speed 3 until combined.

Add eggs and flour.

Mix about 2 minutes on speed 2 until combined.

Transfer half of the batter into a clean bowl and set aside.

Step 2

Add cocoa powder into the appliance bowl.

Mix for about 1 minute on speed 2 until combined.

Add peanut butter into the bowl containing the light colour batter and stir to combine.

Spoon both the batters into the tin, alternating between the two.

Use a knife or skewer to swirl the batter.

Bake for 20 minutes at 180ºC until a skewer inserted comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool.

Step 3

Drizzle the cake with melted peanut butter and melted chocolate.

Slice into squares.
