What is the difference between a stand mixer and a food processor?

While both stand mixers and food processors are kitchen appliances, they serve different purposes. Stand mixers (also known as dough mixers) are primarily used for mixing, beating, and whipping tasks, making them ideal for baking. They feature a rotating mixing head that moves around the bowl to ensure even mixing.

On the other hand, food processors are designed for various food processing tasks such as chopping, slicing, grating, and pureeing. You can make any recipe that takes your fancy with a food processor, from cakes to salads, making it the perfect everyday kitchen helper. They excel in tasks that require precision and versatility beyond mixing.

It's all about blending

Food Processors aren't just about chopping, slicing and grating. The all-in-one solution gives you the power of a stand alone blender, simply by attaching the blender to the base unit instead of the main processing bowl. Whether you're looking for a personal blender for your morning smoothie or a larger blender to make a hearty soup for a mid-week dinner, we have something to suit you. With our ThermoResist™ glass blenders you can even blend hot soup straight from the pan.
