Why is my Android device asking for a PIN number when I try to connect my Smart Scale?

This occurs if you are trying to connect to the scales through your devices Bluetooth settings. However, you can only connect to the scales via the Kenwood World app. See “How do I connect my Smart Scale to the Kenwood World app?”.
