Ingredients

200 ml honey
85 grams butter


250 grams plain flour
85 grams ground almonds
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
0.5 tsp. bicarbonate of soda
1 pinch ground cloves
1 pinch ground nutmeg
1 pinch ground black pepper


100 grams icing sugar
1  egg white, beaten
2  water


Instructions

STEP 1/4

Fit the K beater to the machine.

Line the baking tray with parchment paper.

Pre heat the oven to 180ºC.

STEP 2/4

Add Ingredients 1 (honey, butter) into the saucepan.

Heat over a medium heat until melted.

STEP 3/4

Add Ingredients 2 (flour, almonds, ginger, cinnamon, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, cloves, nutmeg, pepper) into the Mixer bowl.

Attach the Mixer bowl to the machine and fit the splash guard.

Pour the contents of the saucepan into the Mixer bowl.

Mix on speed Min for 1 minute.

Transfer the dough into a medium bowl.

Cover and let cool.

Roll the dough into balls about 3 cm across.

Flatten each ball to make a dome shape and place on the baking tray.

Bake for 15 minutes at 180ºC.

Leave to cool on a wire rack.

STEP 4/4

Add Ingredients 3 (sugar, egg white, water) into the small bowl.

Mix until combined.

Dip each of the biscuits into the icing and let dry.

Serve.
