Tomato pizza base sauce

This tomato sauce is simple but so delicious. Use as a base for pizza, in bolognese for lasagne or simply on fusilli pasta. Blend if a smoother sauce is desired.

Instructions

Step 1

Attach the Stir Tool.

Step 2

Add olive oil to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl

Lift the Cooking Chef head and fit the heat shield

Heat with splashguard fitted until hot - 1 min, 110°C, Speed OFF

Step 3

Add onion, garlic and balsamic vinegar to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl

Cook with splashguard fitted until translucent - 5 min, 110°C, Speed Min

Step 4

Add canned plum tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, dried oregano and dark brown sugar to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl

Cook with splashguard fitted until thickened - 25 min, 105°C, Speed Min

Step 5

Add fresh basil leaves, salt and black pepper to the Cooking Chef XL Bowl

Cook with splashguard fitted until reduced - 10 min, 105°C, Speed Min

Serve.
