For the burgers

  • 450 g sirloin, cubed 3 cm

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp ground black pepper

  • 1 egg

  • 60 g breadcrumbs

  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil

To finish

  • 4 slices cheese

  • 4 burger buns

Utensils

Frying pan, KCL96.004DG, Multipro Food Processor Attachment

Instructions

Step 1

Select the Chop Meat preset.

Fit the Knife Blade to the Food Processor attachment.

Add steaks into the attachment.

Chop the meat.

Add onion powder, salt, pepper, egg and breadcrumbs.

Repeat the preset and chop until well combined.

Divide the mixture into four.

Shape into patties, slightly bigger than buns as the burgers will shrink during cooking.

Step 2

Add oil into a frying pan.

Heat on a medium-high heat until hot.

Cook each patty on one side for 5-6 minutes until browned.

Tip: Cook for longer, if you prefer the burger to have no pink.

Flip the burgers on the other side and continue for 2 minutes.

Add a slice of cheese onto each burger.

Cook for 3 minutes until the cheese has melted.

Remove from the heat and let rest for 5 minutes.

Serve with burger buns.
