Why has the display turned itself off?

The EasyWeigh attachment has an automatic switch off function to save energy for longer lasting batteries. If the weight reading does not change for 2 minutes, the display will turn off. In addition to this, to prevent vibrations keeping the scales on (eg. dishwasher or washing machine) the display will turn off if a button has not been pressed for 4 minutes.
