Easy gluten free cake recipes

Gluten-free baking has come a long way in recent years, with a range of alternative ingredients available to use in place of wheat flour.

If you have coeliac disease or are gluten intolerant you’ll be avoiding cereals such as wheat, barley and rye. As gluten gives cakes structure and texture, cakes and bakes can often be dense and crumbly without it. Luckily, ingredients such as ground almonds, polenta or xanthan gum help to create beautifully light and airy cakes and soft and chewy loaves.

Here are some of our favourite gluten-free cake recipes, which are all easy to make with your Kenwood appliances. And while they may be suitable for those following a gluten-free diet, they’re also delicious enough to be a hit with anyone.
