FAQS

GETTING TO KNOW YOUR
TITANIUM CHEF PATISSIER XL

What is the maxium temperature of the warming function?

Rather then temperature in degrees, the Kenwoood Chef Patissier XL has 9 warming levels to choose from. Think of it like a hob setting, turn it up for more heat and turn it down for less. It has been carefully designed to work well with common baking tasks such as melting, proving and sabayon, but it will not boil water. Reccommended temperature levels for key tasks can be found here (include table for Warming Setting against Action)

What is the maximum dough load I can do? For how long and how often?

The maximum dough load and run times can be found in the Instruction Manual

Why doesn't the timer start straight away?

If you have set your appliance to warm or cook, the timer will not start counting until the temperature sensor is near to the heat setting you have selected. If you want the timer to start straight away, you need to operate the appliance in manual mode.

Why is the weighing so sensitive? It keeps changing!

The appliance measures weight through its feet, meaning you can weigh anywhere on your machine; in the bowl, at the high speed outlet, or even on the head. The weighing is accurate to measure in 1g increments, so any movement near to the appliance may cause the display to change. Also if you lean on the bowl whilst filling it with food you are adding to the weight on the machine so it can also cause an additional weight reading. Always make sure the appliance is on a flat, even surface when weighing.
