If the food processor isn't working, ensure the lid is on securely and the handle of the food processor attachment has been pulled as far clockwise as possible. It may click into place if it is new. The handle of the food processor should be above the "W" in Kenwood.

Check the blender outlet cover (fast speed outlet) is locked as far clockwise as possible - it may click into place if new. Wait a few seconds and turn on again. If the machine has been overloaded, reduce the quantity of ingredients in the bowl.
