This recipe uses a non-dairy butter alternative to make puff pastry. Use it as the base for a savoury vegetable tart or a pie.

  1. Fit midi blade to kCook bowl
  2. Add bread flour, all purpose flour and salt to the kCook bowl
  3. Fit kCook bowl to kCook Multi
  4. Attach lid to kCook bowl with filler cap fitted
  5. Mix with filler cap fitted - 20 sec, speed 9
  6. Then add nondairy butter to the pastry
  7. Blend with filler cap fitted and continue - approx 30 sec, speed 12
  8. Add water and lemon juice to a clean jug
  9. Blend and continue - 30 sec, speed 12
  10. Pour content of jug into pastry gradually while machine is running
  11. Transfer pastry to lightly floured surface
  12. Wrap with plastic wrap
  13. Chill in fridge - 30 min
  14. Roll out
  15. Spread with nondairy butter lightly
  16. Fold two thirds
  17. Fold into halves
  18. Chill in fridge - 30 min
  19. Repeat
  20. Use
