FAQs
The pizza oven comes with a removable pizza stone and an easy to use split pizza peel.
My Pizzeria operates at a high temperature of up to 400° C in order to get the delicious, crispy pizza base, chewy middle and meltingly good cheese. Expectedly, this means that the product itself can become very hot while operating. Do not touch the external and internal surfaces when the product is on and never remove the ceramic pizza stone until the product has completely cooled.
Cooking times can vary depending on the pizza dough recipe and toppings. The Quick Start Guide (provided in pack) or Instruction book (downloadable below) both contain recommended cooking time guidelines - although we strongly recommend keeping an eye on your pizza and not relying solely on timings. When cooking more than one pizza back to back, or if My Pizzeria has been heating up for more than 10 minutes, the stone gets very hot, so you can reduce recommended cooking times by 2 - 3 minutes. Use the viewing window to keep an eye on your pizza - the oven is very quick!
This is an indoor-only appliance. Usage in any outdoor environment (including covered balconies or terraces) is not supported. This limitation is clearly stated in the safety precautions to prevent misuse and ensure compliance with power supply requirements.
No, it can only be used in the upright position.
Before you start, make sure your oven is unplugged and totally cool to the touch. To clear away any leftover residue, scrape the stone with a heat-resistant spatula (or the pizza peel). Don't worry if your pizza stone looks marked or shows signs of cooking - it's supposed to look like that and means you are doing it right. For a quick refresh, wipe down the exterior and the coated side of the baking stone with a damp cloth. Just skip the harsh chemicals or scrubby pads - they’re a bit too tough for the finish!
Yes, absolutely! It is completely normal—and actually expected—for your ceramic baking stone to develop stains, dark spots, or discolored patches right after its very first use.
Think of it as a badge of honor for your pizza oven! Here is why it happens and why it is actually a good thing:
Natural Ceramic Material: The baking stone is made of authentic ceramic, which is highly porous. It naturally absorbs oils, moisture, and stray flour from your pizza dough and toppings during baking.
The "Seasoning" Process: Just like a premium cast-iron skillet, these marks are part of a natural seasoning process. Every stain helps create a more non-stick surface over time and locks in that authentic, traditional stone-baked flavor.
Flawless Performance: Discoloration does not mean your stone is dirty or damaged. The oven will continue to heat up to 400°C and cook your pizzas perfectly.
Step Away from the Soap: Never use dish soap, harsh chemical cleaners, or scrubby pads on the stone. Because it is porous, it will absorb the soap, which can ruin the taste of your next pizza or cause the stone to crack when it heats up. Simply scrape away any loose food crumbs with your pizza peel once it cools down!
