For your convenience, the sealing ring is located within the blade unit of the blender. The blade unit can be removed for easy cleaning after each use. Please ensure the base has been screwed tightly on to the blender before use.

How can I use the MultiPro Go to knead dough?

The knife blade attachment can be used to knead dough, simply add 250g of flour and 150g of water and process for 30 seconds using the handle to support the appliance. Avoid processing for longer than 30 seconds to prevent the motor overheating.

The cord needs to be manually pushed into the lower part of the machine which forms the cord storage area.

My food processor will not work. What can I do?

Accepted Answer

It is highly likely the interlock needs a little more alignment for its first use, particularly if it is new. Your food processor can be operated when empty for short periods of time and we would advise the following simple steps if you have any problems: - Ensure the bowl handle is on the right hand side, with the control dial facing you. Start the handle at the 1 o\'clock position and pull it around to the right hand side firmly. - Place your chosen blade in the unit. - Attach the lid, ensuring the feed tube (the funnel on the lid) is locked into the handle - also on the right hand side. For ease of assembly it is better to start the funnel at the 1 o\'clock position and pull the lid clockwise to the right. - Switch the processor to the first speed, ensuring it is plugged in at the wall socket and switched on. If the food processor still doesn\'t start, firmly pull the handle clockwise, towards you. It may click as it locks. The processor will then start, and subsequent interlocks will be much easier.

The drive shaft is loose and does not click in to the motor unit. Is this normal?

On some older models, yes, the drive shaft is loose when initially placed on the motor unit. When the bowl, bowl tool and lid are interlocked fully they will secure the drive shaft in place. If your food processor doesn\'t start please check our article to rectify this.

Durig the first few uses, there may be a burning smell. This is likely to be a �newness smell\' and it will lessen as you use your product more often. Please ensure the user instructions are adhered to and the motor isn\'t run for longer than recommended.

What do I use the knife blade for on my food processor?

Accepted Answer

The knife blade can be used to chop raw and cooked meat, cooked eggs, vegetables, nuts, p&acirc;t&eacute;s and dips and to also make crumbs from bread and biscuits. Always hold the knife blade by the finger grip at the top, away from the cutting edge, both when handling and cleaning. Take care not to over process when using the knife blade. Use the dough kneaders in the mixing bowl to make bread and the whisk for eggs and lighter ingredients. The knife blade is also the best tool for cake making with most models, although please refer to your instructions for individual model information. Don\'t use the knife blade to chop ice cubes or other hard foods, such as spices, as these may damage the tool.

What is the difference between a food processor and a kitchen machine?

Ensure the power button is in the neutral position in order to move the lid and bowl. The interlock may also be a slightly tight so ensure enough pressure is applied when removing the lid / bowl.

The lid and the bowl need to be locked in place for the machine to operate. Check firstly that the bowl is interlocked onto the unit - the handle should be at the front right, and clicked into place. The lid should also be locked in, with the feed tube facing front on.

The knife blade, dough tool and emulsifying tool will \'lock onto\' the tool shaft when the machine operates. Simply twist the tool to release from the lock position. Be sure to use the finger idents when handling the tools, particularly when handling the sharp knife blade.

All parts except the base unit and blender blade assembly are dishwasher safe (or can of course be cleaned by hand). The base unit can be wiped with a damp cloth (when unplugged) and the blender blades can be disassembled from the goblet and washed by hand. Be careful of sharp blades (the knife blade and blender blades) when cleaning.

You can add some clean water and washing up liquid into the assembled goblet and add the lid. Lock the blender on to the base unit and pulse. Pour away the dirty water and give it a quick rinse. Now your blender is ready to use again.

For grating, ensure the side with grating holes is facing upwards (towards the lid). To slice, ensure that the side with raised grating holes faces downwards (towards the base) and the side with the raised slicing blade faces upwards. Lock on the lid and turn on the unit. Now add your ingredients through the feed tube, and use the pusher to guide the ingredients down the feed-tube. For the best results, use fresh ingredients and do not pre-cut food too small. Fill the width of the feed tube to prevent the food from slipping sideways during processing, this will create an even slicing/grating result.
