    And the winner is ....


    Jo Wells was crowned winner of Kenwood Disaster Chef 2014 at the live final in London, the budding kitchen hero impressed the judges most, with both the quality and presentation of her dishes. The title was well deserved not only because of her performance in the final, but also because she made a mark with the culinary journey she had undertaken over the past six weeks.

    Jo received a host of prizes including a kitchen makeover from Symphony Kitchens worth £3,000, a cookery course worth £500, and a selection of additional Kenwood products to the value of £500.

  • Actress and culinary novice, Hermione Norris, who sat on the judging panel said: “The dedication and commitment from all the finalists to learn and take on new skills and recipes has been remarkable. We have seen some truly delicious and standout dishes throughout the competition!  The competition shows that with the right tools and attitude you can make the inedible edible.

    The contestants cooked two recipes for the final – Porcini and Rosemary Creamed Tagliatelle and Chocolate Fondant. The judges, including actress Hermione Norris, chef Ben Ebbrell from SortedFood and Kenwood Development Chef Martin Johns, were impressed with how far all fifteen of the contestants have come since the start of the competition. Kenwood would like to pass on a massive congratulations to Jo and all the other contestants.
